The Harlan Group is looking for a Director of Operations
This person will serve as the operational leader behind a growing real estate organization. They will oversee systems, workflows, and daily operations so the leadership team can focus on growth, sales, and client relationships.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving operational challenges, improving processes, and implementing systems that increase efficiency and accountability. This person is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable leveraging technology, including AI‑driven tools and automation, to help the business operate at a higher level.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $65,000 to $70,000
- Bonus Opportunities: Expected total compensation between $80,000 and $100,000+ annually
- Additional benefits may include reimbursement for business‑related expenses, professional development, and operational leadership coaching.

Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the team
- Ensure operational systems support company growth goals
- Improve accountability, structure, and workflow efficiency
Systems and Technology
- Implement and optimize AI‑driven systems, workflows, and automation across the business
- Manage operational systems, including CRM platforms, internal communication tools, and process documentation
- Continuously evaluate and introduce technology that improves productivity and scalability
Transaction and Process Oversight
- Oversee operational processes from contract to close
- Ensure compliance and consistency across transaction management systems
- Maintain documentation of operational procedures and internal systems
Financial and Business Operations
- Support operational budgeting and financial tracking
- Ensure commissions, payments, and operational expenses are managed properly
- Assist leadership with operational reporting and performance tracking
Team Leadership and Growth
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of administrative team members
- Work with leadership to support agent recruitment and onboarding
- Build systems that allow the organization to scale efficiently
Client and Vendor Relations
- Ensure systems support an exceptional client experience
- Coordinate with vendors and partners as needed
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of operations, business management, or administrative leadership experience
- Real estate operations experience preferred but not required
- Experience implementing systems, automation, or operational workflows
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong technology aptitude with experience using automation and AI tools
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to build scalable systems and processes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
